There are 3 Types of vessels that i know:
Commercial vessels
Naval vessels
Fishing Vessels
Commercial vessels are like cargo ships and passenger ships.
Naval vessels are like marines and warships.

Influence on my choices.
After researching on The hulls, we decided what we will use. We knew that:
- Flat bottomed boat works well in calm waters.
- Hydroplaine is good because there is less contact with water which means less dragging.
- Shallow Vee is good in good in smooth waters and does not have much contact with water so less dragging.
- Deep Vee works well in rough waters because it can cut though but not very fact because it has contact with water.
Hull:
We decided to work with shallow Vee because in the pool, the water is not very rought and because if the speed. We started with a flat bottomed boat and added a V at the bottom. When trying it out, we found out that our V was deep causing the boat to slow down so we decided to remove the V. What influenced me to use the Shallow V is the information given on it.
Materials:
For the materials, we had a choice of using Acrylic and styroform. We used Acrylic for the body and filled the V with styroform. So our material use was influenced by the choices given and suggestions.
Propulsion:
For the propulsion, we decided to use sail cloth, ballon and propeller. We decided to use all this for speed. What influenced us is the need for speed and from our classmates. Some were using propeller, others sailing cloth so we thouthgt of combining everything together.

Evaluation
For this term in DT, we were to create a marine Vessel in groups. In my group, we were, Vanessa, Shallet and I. At the beginning, i as very scared because i knew nothing about Marin Vessels but we started with Investigation and went on with the cycle till the final product. Here is my evaluation on my journey to the sea.
Investigation:
In my investigation, i had a very hard time because everything was so new. I researched on what marine vessels are then looked at a brief history and how they work. At that point, i had an idea and felt more at ease. My group assigned questions for each one to answer. I did all i could and during the research, i actually got to learn a lot about marine vessels. At the end of investigation, i had a lot of knowledge of what i will be doing and what marine vessels are. I was not pleased with the way i worked in my investigation because i was slow and did not give in quality work. If i am to do the investigation again, i would research more, understand, type it down and hand it on time. I would work more on the quality but i am happy that i have learnt more. One thing i would suggest is that there should be more time given for the research work.
Design:
In design, i had troubles with Google Sketch up. I did not know how to work on it and i still don't. I drew the designs on a piece pf paper and showed them to the rest of my group members and they liked it. We thought of what propulsion systems we will use and we came up with a balloon, a propeller and a sailing cloth. In design, if i am to do this again, i would learn how to use Google sketch up and generate more designs. I had fun doing design on paper but i am sure i could have done much more like having more designs and doing them on Google Sketch up because that's where they were required.
Plan:
In plan, i did the chart and my other group members did the other part. I Had fun doing this and i tried very much to do it well. I added some details to it and handed it on time to my group leader. In plan, i am proud that i finished my work on time and that i did my best. What i need to work on is to to follow my plan. If i could follow my plan, i could have completed the project on time.
Create:
In create, i had a lot of FUN! i drew the layout on the plastic and helped in the bending and filling. I loved create because it was practical and i could see the design coming up. If i was to do create again, i would follow my plan so as to finish in time. I would suggest that more time is given in the create stage because i lesson a week is not enough but i had fun.
Attitudes:
In attitudes if its out of 7, i would give myself a 4 and the reason is because i find myself handing in my work late and not very quality work. Comparing my work to other times, i am not very happy with my work this term. Things that am happy about is that i cooperate with my group member, teacher and classmates. I also help out in any work and positive. If i am to do this whole project again, i would hand in my work on time, follow my plan, do my designs on Google sketch up and give 100% of my effort but at end of all this, i have knowledge on Marine Vessels.

Before tying it out, we had a v-shaped hull but that was not working very well because it was slowing down the boat so we removed it and the boat works pretty well. We need to add the propulsion system, a balloon, sail cloth and a propeller. I think the boat is good.
